Spring Cleaning on the Farm!
Spring Cleaning on the Farm: Keeping Our Flock Healthy!
Spring is here, and that means it’s time for a little farm-fresh reset! 🌿🐓 As we welcome the warmer days, we’re giving our flock some extra TLC to make sure they stay happy, healthy, and thriving.
What We’re Doing:
✅ Treating for mites, lice, and other pesky Winter hitchhikers
✅ Deworming to keep our birds in top shape
✅ Boosting their diet with extra vitamins and minerals
✅ Refreshing all coop bedding for a clean, cozy home
Why This Matters:
Just like we do spring cleaning in our homes, our flock needs a seasonal reset, too! Preventative care keeps our birds comfortable and ensures they continue laying the most beautiful, healthy eggs possible.
What This Means for Our Eggs:
For safety and quality, we will be pulling all eggs for the next 14 days while our birds go through their spring treatments. That means our farm fresh eggs will be temporarily unavailable, but don’t worry! Once our flock is fully refreshed and ready, we’ll be back with even better, healthier eggs for you!
✨ Egg orders will resume soon, stay tuned! ✨
Thank you for your support and understanding as we put our birds first! If you have any questions about chicken health, farm life, or upcoming egg availability, drop us a comment or message.
With love,
GeekyBeachClucks 🐣💙🌊
Washing eggs with a side of chicken charm.
Washing eggs with a side of chicken charm.
Who said egg-washing has to be boring? At our farm stand, even the eggs get a little personality boost! Featured here is one of our fresh brown eggs enjoying a rinse under the cutest chicken-themed egg washer. Egg washing is more than just a chore – it’s a reminder of the journey from our happy hens to your table. We take pride in ensuring every egg is as fresh and clean as can be, ready for your family meals or baking adventures.
Why Washing Eggs Matters: While unwashed eggs can last up to 2 weeks at room temperature or 3 months refrigerated (thanks to their natural protective bloom), washing removes the bloom, so it’s best to refrigerate washed eggs and use them within a week or two. We always recommend washing eggs right before you’re ready to use them for the freshest taste and best food safety practices. And let’s be real, adding a little fun to the process makes it even more egg-citing!
Did You Know? Our hens are lovingly cared for, and each egg is collected daily to ensure top-notch quality. Come for the farm-fresh eggs, stay for the charming touches like this one. After all, life’s too short for plain eggs, don’t you think?
